Estudio liderado por investigadores de UPCH y aliados internacionales identifica avances y brechas en la respuesta a la resistencia antimicrobiana en América Latina y el Caribe
La semana pasada publicamos un nuevo artículo que mapea la evidencia actual sobre intervenciones para reducir la resistencia a los antimicrobianos (RAM) en América Latina y el Caribe.
Nuestros hallazgos muestran que la mayoría de los esfuerzos se concentran en el sector de salud humana, mientras persiste una gran brecha en la investigación desde el enfoque de Una Sola Salud, que integre la salud humana, animal y ambiental.
Aún queda mucho por hacer frente a la RAM, un desafío global que requiere de un trabajo interdisciplinario e intersectorial.

Last week, we published a new article mapping the current evidence on interventions to reduce antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Latin America and the Caribbean
Our findings show that most efforts are concentrated in the human health sector, while there remains a major gap in One Health research integrating animal, environmental, and human health.
Much remains to be done to tackle AMR, a global challenge that demands interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaboration.
